Get your funk on! Inspired by the long time New Orleans second line tradition, we are forming a NEW summer second line group. You’ll learn 3-4 new songs by memory to perform in the Seafair Torchlight Parade in downtown Seattle. Drummers will rehearse daily as a drumline with Tony Sodano, all other instruments will rehearse daily with Jerome Smith. Both groups will come together each day to rehearse as one ensemble. This music is super fun and festive. Think riff-based music. LOUD and PROUD.

About the Seafair Torchlight Parade…

Since 1950, thousands of spectators have gathered on a warm July night to watch as parade units march, float and dance in celebration of Seattle. In it’s 70th year, the parade continues to highlight and celebrate traditions in Greater Seattle’s diverse cultural landscape as well as start new traditions, welcoming those new to the Seattle area. The 2019 Alaska Airlines Torchlight Parade will feature entries both old and new and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser on this momentous year.
