WeBOP to JazzSprouts: Class for Little Ones Gets a Refresh

Seattle JazzED is thrilled to announce a new name for the music program formerly known as WeBop, JazzSprouts. As an organization dedicated to fostering a love for jazz and music from an early age, the time was right to redefine the program’s identity and expand the reach within the community.

JazzSprouts embodies the essence of the program. Just as sprouts represent growth and new beginnings, Seattle JazzED aims to nurture young minds, cultivating a love for jazz in the hearts of our community’s youngest learners. The rebranding signifies the organization’s commitment to creating a vibrant and inclusive space where families can explore the rich and diverse world of jazz together.

With the rebranding, the organization is reintroducing a curriculum that combines live music, interactive activities, and engaging storytelling to provide an immersive and joyful jazz experience for babies, toddlers, and their families. JazzSprouts is designed to celebrate the beauty of jazz as a vital Black American art form while promoting cultural understanding and appreciation.

JazzSprouts has officially launched fall Saturday morning registrations, with two new additional “happy hour” time slots on Fridays for families. Similar to all JazzED programs, tuition for the ten week course is offered on a sliding scale for all participants.
