Parade starts at 7:30PM, near the Space Needle. Exact call time and staging area for students TBD, awaiting final confirmation from the Seafair organization. We’ll update you and your student as soon as we know. Parade route map here.

This event is free and open to the public, with reserved seating available for purchase. The Seattle JazzED Second Line Project is a new ensemble inspired by the long time New Orleans second line tradition. We’ll be marching in the parade this year!

About the Seafair Torchlight Parade…

“Since 1950, thousands of spectators have gathered on a warm July night to watch as parade units march, float and dance in celebration of Seattle. In it’s 70th year, the parade continues to highlight and celebrate traditions in Greater Seattle’s diverse cultural landscape as well as start new traditions, welcoming those new to the Seattle area. The 2019 Alaska Airlines Torchlight Parade will feature entries both old and new and is sure to be a crowd-pleaser on this momentous year.”
