If you love beats, you'll love this camp. The Summer Percussion Project is a drumming and percussion camp in the style of second line and drumline. Expect a mix of fun, movement, energy and a focus on proper technique. Director Tony Sodano will work with you to make sure your grip is spot on and your time is like a metronome. You'll play snare, bass drum, cymbals, auxiliary percussion, drumset and mallets. 

Camp curriculum covers Concert Percussion, Swing Rhythms, Drumset Basics/Coordination, Intro to Drumline, and much more.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to students going into grades 6-12, with some experience on drums and/or percussion instruments. Drumline experience is not required. This camp is appropriate for any drummer wishing to excel at precision and coordination.

Tony Sodano is an engaging, committed music instructor and performer acknowledged for success and positive impact in creation of top performing ensembles in secondary education in Seattle. Tony is currently the Band & Drumline director at Garfield High School as well as the assistant director for the Seahawks Blue Thunder Drumline.
