2018-19 JAZZ PREP ENSEMBLES SCHEDULE
Jazz Prep Ensemble classes begin the week of October 1, 2018 and run through Thursday, May 16, 2019. 

There are no classes Oct 31, Nov 12, Nov 19-23, Jan 21, Jan 30, Feb 18-22, March 21, April 8-12.

Final performance is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center. 


CHOOSE YOUR ENSEMBLE
You can learn to play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, upright bass, guitar, piano, drums OR vocals in the Jazz Prep Ensembles. Different ensembles rehearse at different times. 

Mondays and Wednesdays. 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

  • Piano & Choir Prep Ensemble (piano and vocals) with Darrius Willrich, Cora Jackson and Sherrell Mitchell

    • Every student will have 30 minutes in small group choir, 30 minutes in small group piano, and 30 minutes in large choir.

Mondays and Thursdays, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

  • String Prep Ensemble (upright bass and guitar) with Kelsey Mines // SOLD OUT

  • Percussion Prep Ensemble (drums) with Tony Sodano

 Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

  • Brass Prep Ensemble (trumpet and trombone) with Ricardo Luna

  • Woodwind Prep Ensemble (flute, clarinet and saxophone) with Dan Wickham

SLIDING SCALE TUITION
We are committed to this program being financially accessible for ALL families. You select the sliding scale payment that works for you! 

  • $235 per month, do not enter any code

  • $135 per month, enter code ONETHIRTYFIVE

  • $50 per month, enter code FIFTY

  • $25 per month, enter code TWENTYFIVE

  • Full tuition waiver, enter code WAIVER

You will have the option of entering a sliding scale tuition code on the registration check-out page. Be sure to select the payment plan option if you want to break your payments up. Please note you will also have the option of paying your chosen amount in full if you prefer.

INSTRUMENTS
Students can play an instrument they already own or rent, but please check with us before you register to ensure that it's part of our curriculum. Seattle JazzED can loan instruments free of charge to students who need assistance. To inquire, contact us.

REGISTRATION
Students in grades 4-8 are invited to register. No previous musical experience required. Please register your student(s) online HERE. You should receive a confirmation email from our online registration system Active.com when you complete registration.
