Workshop Description
Students in the Jazz Orchestra Project will step outside the classical music box and dive into jazz and improvisation in a strings big band with a full rhythm section. Music is arranged specifically for this ensemble by David Marriott, Jr., award-winning jazz trombonist, performer, composer, arranger and educator.

Eligibility
This ensemble is geared for intermediate to advanced players of all stringed instruments in grades 7-12. No jazz experience is necessary. Come with an open mind and an expectation of fun times ahead!
