Build your confidence and skills at this high-energy summer music camp directed by Ricardo Luna. You'll love the motivation of working with other passionate students. High-schoolers can earn 30 service hours as Leaders-in-Training. WEBOP - NOW ENROLLING!
A weekly class (45 minutes) for children 8 months to 5 years which invites families to stomp, strut and swing as they learn about the core concepts, instruments, and great performers of jazz with *live* music! Tuition is sliding scale.

JAZZ PREP ENSEMBLES - NOW ENROLLING!
Have you dabbled in church music, piano lessons, or drumming?  Do you love to sing? In a Jazz Prep Ensemble you will learn how to play an instrument or sing, perform, read music and set yourself up for a life of musical success.  You choose from flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, upright bass, guitar, drums, piano or vocals.Tuition is sliding scale, free instrument loans available. Beginners, grades 4-8.

FALL JAZZ CLUB & BOOT CAMPS - NOW ENROLLING!
Jump start your school year with weekly classes taught by exciting directors.For younger students (grades 4-6), you'll refresh your fundamentals and dive into new tunes while improving your music reading skills and technique. For older students (grades 7-12) think "Jazz calisthenics", honing the core fundamentals of your craft till you know them cold. You'll be in the best Jazz "shape" of your life after these classes! Tuition is sliding scale.

INSTRUMENTAL COMBOS - ENROLLMENT COMING SOON
Hone your theory and improvisation in a small instrumental combo. Rehearse twice a month with a professional coach.

Play and perform in a jazz ensemble with acclaimed teachers like Clarence Acox, Darin Faul, Mark Taylor and more. Rehearse weekly January - May 2018. Grades 5-12, with at least one year experience.

NEW WORKS ENSEMBLE AND CREATIVE ORCHESTRA PROJECT - ENROLLMENT COMING SOON
Open to all instruments (Viola, bassoon, French horn, etc.) Explore multi-genre and new compositions with director Wayne Horvitz. Rehearse weekly January - May, 2018. Grades 6-12.

Explore the crossroads of America’s roots music by learning jazz through a gospel lense. (It's not just for girls; boys welcome!) Rehearse Saturdays, January - May. Grades 8-12.

GIRLS ELLINGTON PROJECT ENSEMBLE - ENROLLMENT COMING SOON
Seattle's only all-city, all-girls jazz band submits a recording to the Essentially Ellington Competition with the goal of being a finalist and participating in the festival in New York City in May. Placement is by audition.

At Seattle JazzED, we believe music education should be affordable to all families, regardless of financial circumstances. If the cost of a program is too expensive for you, please fill out our easy online scholarship form.  Our scholarship process does NOT require you to submit financial records, tax statements or immigration/citizenship status. We work with every family and have never turned a student away due to financial circumstances. In fact, 40% of JazzED families receive a scholarship in some amount.
