Seattle JazzED - Get Involved

Whether as a musician, a donor, or a volunteer, participation in Seattle JazzED can be a rewarding, even live-changing activity. We urge you to take part in this exciting new dimension of our region's cultural landscape!

Jazz Combo Workshop

Participants will hone improvisation skills in a small combo setting with some of Seattle’s finest jazz musicians. We welcome students in grades 6-12. Beginning improvisers welcome! The workshop sessions will be held weekly from Saturday, March 3rd through Saturday, May 12th. Sessions will run on Saturdays from 3:00PM-5:00PM. Sessions will take place at the Rainier Valley Cultural Center, 3515 S. Alaska Street, in the Columbia City neighborhood. The workshop will culminate in a
final concert, on May 20th at The Royal Room, Columbia City's new jazz venue.

Seattle JazzED generates a significant portion of its operating expenses through tuition and merchandise sales.

But in order to fulfill our mission to offer financial aid to underserved youth, we seek support from private foundations, corporate sponsors, individual donors and government entities.

We are also seeking instrument donations from individuals and institutions.

Seattle JazzED is a tax-exempt organization under IRS 501(c)(3). Ask your Human Resources Department if your company has a matching gift program. It can easily double your donation.
